Do you need amazing new sounds for live concerts, your home studio, playing at home or on the road? The V3 YAMMEX is the most compact answer imaginable for any of those needs. It is a sound module in a housing smaller than your mouse pad. 

UNIVERSAL SOUND BANKS (329 Voices)

Two of the 4 GB of integrated flash memory in V3 YAMMEX are loaded with329 universal Voices. These sounds set a new standard of tone quality, both in the number of samples and in their length and quality. 

Many of the sound programs run on Round Robin technology. When a key is pressed more than once, the available samples are automatically switched out in order to bring the music to life – not just for single tones, but also when playing whole MIDI files. 

PIANO and E-PIANO (36 Voices)

Along with a great variety of e-pianos, you will also find a Vienna grand in stereo with 7 dynamic settings and a 300 MB memory requirement.

The E-Pianos are: Electric Grand (CP), MKI model Dyno, A200 with 15 velocity splits and a Clavinet D6.
E-Pianos sounds use note-off samples vary between velocity and elapsed time. Immediately after a key is struck, other samples come into play, just as they do after a note held for three seconds.

CLASSIC | Strings (67 Voices)

The orchestra instruments are intricately programmed and available in a wide variety – from a complete symphony orchestra (full strings) and chamber music ensembles to string ensembles with 14 violins, 10 violas, 8 cellos and 6 double basses. All the string instruments can be played in solo versions also, as well as in the most well-known effects, such as legato, marcato, détaché, pizzicato and bow tremolo. For all string sounds, hitting the key hard also creates a hard bow sound on the virtual string. Round Robin technology is employed with strings also, resulting in the automatic switch between up and down bowing. This technology really stands out in détaché play. Note-off samples create natural tone fades, perfectly capturing the way resonance in string instruments can be heard for a long time after a note is played, softening the flow of the melody. 

CLASSIC | Winds (78 Voices)

The V3 SONORITY & CLASSIC soundbank includes basically all orchestral wind instruments. You will find trumpets, trombones, tubas, horns, clarinets, and flutes in solo versions as well as ensembles and in a variety of articulations, such as marcato, sforzato and staccato. The Round Robin function plays a critical role here also, since 16th-note passages would not sound natural without it. Other instruments in this group include tenor horn, English horn, oboe, bassoon and contrabassoon.

CLASSIC | Percussion 

Over the years, the tasks of classical percussionists have become more complex and challenging. Today, up to 5 percussionists work together as a team in large orchestras.

In V3 YAMMEX, you will find the necessary tools – from the small drum to the timpani, from the gong to the cymbals, from the xylophone to the marimbaphone, from the triangle to the tubular bells. Not even the celesta is missing, where steel plates are hit with felt hammers through a keyboard.

ACCORDION | MELODEON (30 Voices)

YAMMEX sound expander offers a large selection of international accordion sounds.

We created samples of German, French, Irish and Italian instruments. There are sounds with tremolo or “flat tuning” as well as musette register and other specialties of French and Belgian instruments.

CELTIC (24 Voices)

Soundbank 71 bring you the vibrant, energetic sounds and rhythms from the world of Celtic folk music. Scottish/Irish accordions, bagpipes, fiddle, low whistle and other sounds for Ceilidh dancing, Irish dancing, Pipe band and Celtic folk.

ORGANS (121 Voices)

Accordion
The accordion is a very lively instrument. Its vibrating reeds create sounds that can be changed in timbre and volume using the bellows.  

Clarinet
Clarinetist Vito Muženič’s soft tone is part of what we have come to know as the unique sound of the orginial Oberkrainer, especially in their slow waltzes. Fans of a meatier clarinet sound will be happy to hear Martin Zagrajsek of the Tiroler Spatzen. 

Trumpet
Ivan Prešern is known far beyond the borders of Slovenia as the trumpet player of Alpski Kvintet (Alpenoberkrainer) and as a composer of over 300 original titles. He is famous for his soft, full tone that any jazz trumpet player would revere. Trumpet player S. Binder, on the other hand, is revered for his accentuated, punching tones that also belong to the Oberkrainer sound, and therefore must also be part of the TRADITION soundbank.

Bariton
The baritone horn is the true force in Oberkrainer music, with its striking alternating bass. It also serves up a powerful portion of dynamic. The best musician use this to add melodic accents to a phrase. For this reason, the baritone horn virtuosos played the samples for this soundbank: Sepp Mattlschweiger (Juchee).
